Our Junior School curriculum develops the foundations that our students will need in their senior years and is built around a combination of:
individual learning goals
learning from the Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science,
Health & Physical Education, The Arts, Technologies, Humanities and Social Sciences and Languages.
The Junior School curriculum is structured around the learning areas of the Australian Curriculum and is heavily influenced by the personalised learning needs of our students. The learning areas of the Australian Curriculum provide both the essential knowledge and skills that our students need as well as the diversity and range of learnings that all students in Australia are entitled to. Students access their curriculum learning through units of work which teaches use to differentiate learning.
Our staff are skilled at modifying, adapting, supporting and differentiating learning opportunities so that our students can access this content in meaningful and effective ways. Guided continually by the student’s Individual Curriculum Plan (ICP), the Junior School curriculum functionally develops the essential building blocks required by our students to further their learning in the Senior School.
